Artist Application Form

 

We value your privacy and are committed to protecting the information you share with us. The details you provide will be used exclusively by The Animadverto Project for the purposes of reviewing your application and coordinating with accepted artists. Your contact information will remain private and will not be shared publicly. The only exception is if you’ve provided your social media handle and we tag you in our Instagram posts to promote your work.

Please note that we review all applications submitted during the month at the beginning of the following month. You will hear back from us regarding your acceptance according to this schedule.

Please try to be detailed in your description with regard to your process, the time it took to create, what inspired you, and any other information you feel is important to understand your artwork

Artwork Submission Files:

Please upload a high resolution image of your artwork saved as a JPEG (.jpg) or PNG (.png). Each individual file size should not exceed 5 MB per image. Please use the naming format ArtistName_Title_Year. example: JaneDoe_MyPainting_2024.jpg.


You can upload up to 10 images. Please submit one primary image of your piece and additional detailed views.

Exhibition & Display Information

Please suggest the market value for your artwork. This should reflect what you believe to be the fair price for your work based on its medium, size, complexity, and your experience as an artist.

While your suggested market value will be considered the final pricing may be adjusted based on factors such as market demand, gallery fees, or comparable works in the exhibition

  1. Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights

By submitting this application, the artist grants The Animadverto Project a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use submitted images and artworks for promotional purposes related to this gallery, including the official website, and our social media, crediting the artist when possible.

  1. Liability Disclaimer

By submitting your artwork to The Animadverto Project, you acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for the cost of shipping your artwork to and from our warehouse. While in transit to our location, the responsibility for insuring the artwork lies with you. Once your artwork is in our care, it will be fully insured under our comprehensive policy, which provides coverage for fire, damage, and theft, regardless of its market value. This insurance ensures that your artwork is protected throughout its time with us, including during storage and any promotional events.

3. Submission and Eligibility Rules

By submitting this application, the artist confirms that the submitted work is their original creation and does not infringe upon the rights of any third party. Any submission found to be in violation may have their application denied.

4. Artwork Display and Installation

The artist is responsible for the safe packaging and shipment of the artwork to the correct address. The artist is responsible for delivering their artwork in display-ready condition, including any necessary frames or mounting hardware unless otherwise discussed upon acceptance. Specific installation requirements must be communicated in advance.

5. Exhibition Timeline

We are always accepting submissions however our evaluation process works on a monthly schedule. At the beginning of each month we will evaluate the submissions submitted the month before. Thus you will receive your notification of acceptance within one month of your application. The artist is required to ship their artwork to the provided shipping address within a month of their acceptance. We will carry your artwork in our gallery for 1 year from the date we receive it at our warehouse. After we have carried your work for a year we will ship your artwork back to you unless you wish to renew your application. Artists agree to adhere to the provided timeline, including delivery deadlines. Late submissions may not be displayed or returned at the artist’s expense.

6. Sales and Commission

Once your artwork has been accepted to become a part of the exhibition your artwork will be for sale under The Animadverto Project. Artwork sold during the exhibition will be subject to a 30% commission fee retained by The Animadverto Project. Payment for sold artwork will be disbursed to the artist within 30 days of the sale of the artwork.

7. Withdrawal or Cancellation Policy

Artists may withdraw their submissions by notifying The Animadverto Project by email. In the event of cancellation if we have gone through the process of listing your artwork submission fees will not be refunded. In the event of cancellation you will be returned your artwork within 30 days of your petition to withdraw.
